Notice of Meeting Regarding the Development of the Blue Ridge Country Club on February 22, 2017

BRCC LP owns the Blue Ridge Golf Club property along Linglestown Road. They would like to make an informal presentation to SWAN on February 22, 2017 from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM in the Sanctuary at the Epiphany Lutheran Church, 1100 Colonial Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17112.

With the scheduled closure of the golf course in November, 2017, They have made a few public presentations to the Board of Supervisors in
Recent months about planning for the redevelopment of this property. They also made a presentation to the to the Planning Commission at its meeting On February 1, 2017 .

In keeping with the Township’s strategic vision for providing aging in place opportunities for residents of the Township, BRCC has prepared a sketch plan for a mixed use development under the Residential Retirement Development Provisions of the Township’s Zoning Ordinance. This plan contemplates providing various independent living options, an assisted living and memory care facility, a mix of compatible, smaller scale commercial uses, and a 30+ acre, dedicated park for active and passive recreation.

BRCC LP would like to present this sketch plan to SWAN and describe some of the changes to the Residential Retirement Development provisions that are contemplated with this sketch plan. We believe that by providing more flexibility in retirement housing options and a greater variety of compatible commercial businesses, the Residential Retirement Development provisions will produce better, more diverse project that implements the Township’s vision for aging in place.
